Statistics NZ is the national office entrusted by the Government and the people of New Zealand to collect and deliver robust, independent statistics. We support critical decision-making by providing insights on the statistics we collect, and responding to requests from customers for particular assistance. We are funded by government but we operate independently of government.
The Minister of Statistics is Scott Simpson.
