Research and development in New Zealand: 2014 presents an overview of key sections of interest within research and development (R&D) carried out in New Zealand.
R&D plays a critical role in the innovation process. It’s essentially an investment in technology and future capabilities which is transformed into new products, processes, and services.
We found some low-level errors in the international R&D activity chapter. The errors arose after we extracted international data from the OECD website, calculated proportions of totals, and applied exchange rates to convert values to New Zealand dollars.
We corrected the errors and the affected text, then updated tables 2,4, and 5, and figure 1 on 28 July 2016. No other section of the report is affected.
