National Accounts (Industry Production and Investment) – information releases

These releases provide comprehensive industry data on production, investment, and capital stock. This data has been analysed in a supply-use balancing framework to reconcile the production, income, and expenditure measure of gross domestic product (GDP). It provides benchmarks for the level of economic activity, which update and maintain the quality of quarterly GDP statistics.

This release replaces National Accounts (Industry Benchmarks), last published in November 2015. National Accounts (Industry Production and Investment) includes provisional estimates of industry production and investment, as well as a detailed suite of fully reconciled benchmark data for previous years. Benchmark data is used to update and maintain the quality of quarterly GDP statistics. Provisional data provides an initial, unreconciled, look at industry-level economic activity.
