Environment domain plan 2013

Environment domain plan 2013 examines official information about New Zealand’s environment that provide insights on the state of our natural environment. The plan describes over 150 aspirational initiatives that aim to improve this information and guide decisions about commissioning and managing environmental statistics.

Statistics NZ, the Ministry for the Environment, and the Department of Conservation have worked together on this domain plan. Creating the environment domain plan also required the cooperation of a large and diverse group of stakeholders – close to 30 agencies were involved.

Developing domain plans is part of Statistic NZ's role of strengthening the Official Statistics System and working with other agencies to improve official statistics.
