In the September 2011 quarter compared with the June 2011 quarter:

  • The unemployment rate rose 0.1 percentage points to 6.6 percent.
  • Unemployment rose by 3,000 people.
  • The number of people employed increased by 5,000.
  • The employment rate was flat at 63.9 percent.

All figures have been seasonally adjusted.
