Environment statistics report on the state of New Zealand's environment. They also explore how our economy and environment interact.

Environmental reporting series

The environmental reporting series provides information on the five domains of our environment: air, atmosphere and climate, fresh water, land, and marine – and the cross-domain area of biodiversity.

The series is produced jointly with the Ministry for the Environment. 

Environmental-economic accounts

These reports explore how the environment and the economy interact. They show how our natural resources contribute to our national wealth.

They complement traditional measures of economic activity such as GDP.
