Household surveys programme 2016–20 (second edition) outlines Stats NZ’s plans for a coordinated programme of supplementary content across our three household surveys: the Household Labour Force Survey, the New Zealand General Social Survey, and the Household Economic Survey. The aim of this programme is to ensure that our household surveys are flexible and responsive in meeting New Zealand’s enduring and emerging information needs.
Update 18 May 2017
- Work-related health: The data from the December 2016 quarter work-related health supplement did not meet our quality standards. We have decided not to release this data and we don’t plan to include the work-related health supplement in the HLFS in the future.
Updates since first edition
See updates we made to the rotation topics since the August 2016 publication:
- Disability: Collection starting June quarter 2017
- Work-related health: collected December quarter 2016
- Volunteer work: Proposed for inclusion during 2019. This topic was originally to be collected in June quarter 2017. Development was disrupted due to the November 2016 Kaikoura earthquakes, and StatsNZ were unable to progress as expected.
