Cabinet papers – Modernising and transforming the 2028 Census: Public consultation on an administrative data-first approach for census
The following Cabinet papers and minutes of decision concern the Government Statistician’s plan to modernise and transform the 2028 Census. The papers outline Stats NZ’s public engagement and consultation approach on using an administrative data-first approach for census, supplemented by surveying where deficiencies in administrative data are identified.
